I got a ton of awesome books this week, and I'm very excited to read all of them!

For Review

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I actually already read this one and quite enjoyed it. The summary had initially attracted me, but I was even more eager to pick it up because the book itself is so beautiful. The pages are very nice quality, and there are authentic vintage photographs! I love it when books are unique like this because it makes reading them such fun and different experiences.

Past Perfect by Leila Sales. A while ago, I read Mostly Good Girls by the same author and absolutely loved it. It was so hilarious and touching, so you can understand how thrilled I was to get the author's next book in the mail. I love the cover. Normally I don't like covers with people on them, but you can just tell how much fun the book will be!

Stupid Fast by Geoff Herbach. I wasn't expecting this one, which added to my excitement at getting it. I remember I was eating dinner when the UPS guy came, and my parents said, "Oh, it must be for you!" As soon as it was in my hands, I tore the box open and grinned at the shiny book. I generally don't go for sports books, but the summary sounds unique and intriguing.

Love is the Higher Law by David Levithan. Except for Will Grayson, Will Grayson, I've never read anything by David Levithan, but unlike a lot of other book bloggers, I loved his parts of WG, WG. I've heard nothing but good things about his writing, so if I enjoy this one, I'm definitely going to pick up his other books as well. I heard The Lover's Dictionary was also excellent. I hope I found a new favorite author!

That's it for me! What did you get in your mailbox?

Love is the Higher Law is PHENOMENAL! It's absolutely the book that made me fall in love with David Levithan. And I'll be looking forward to your review of Stupid Fast! I'm always on the hunt for more good "sports books" to recommend.

I'm looking forward to reading MISS PEREGRINE'S but I don't think I'll be able to read the David Levithan book although it sounds wonderful. It's too much of a too-close-to-home subject. I might have to try his other books, though if his writing is wonderful.
