This week's question is...

If you could change the ending to any series, which book would you choose? Why and to what?

I know a ton of people are going to choose this, but I would have to go with Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. There are a lot of things I dislike about the ending, but one part that I would focus on is how the love triangle ended. I saw it coming from the start, but there's no way Katniss should have ended up with Peeta. At the very least, Gale should have been given a better ending, something more satisfying than him just simply moving away.

If you're new to my blog, welcome! :) Please drop your link in the comments so I can return the favor.

I wanted to comment-back even if I did end up having to skip your entire post, as I'm still behind in The Hunger Games series. Thanks for following!

I know a lot of people thought about Gale, and I understand, but at the same time I thought Peeta made sense because of all that they had been through together - if that makes sense. Thanks for coming by my blog!

Fun answer. I was such a huge fan of Peeta that I forget not everyone wanted him to end up with Katniss. Gale really did have a sad ending. I can see how a lot of people were disappointed.

Hi, new follower here for the hop! I agree, with your answer (I selected Mockingjay also), but sorry, I've always been in Team Peeta.

I'm just about to start that series, but I'm a tad worried since everyone seems to hate the ending!

Old Follower, but I agree, at the very least I would have liked to know what happens with Gale at the end and twenty years later... where is he?

I liked the Hunger Games series, but I wanted Katniss to end up with Peeta. I have to agree though, I wanted Gale to have a better ending. I think that it doesn't make much sense that such a good friend would just leave. Feel free to check out my FF here. New follower!

I've still to read HG, since I've heard so many good things about the early books. So I'm happy there's at least some form of 'happy' ending. :)

Great blog, I'm a new follower.

OMG I totally completely 100% agree with you!! I don't think Gale was explored enough as a character in the Hunger Games. He was more of an afterthought.

Awesome post, new follower:D

Old follower hopping through... I too picked THG. Loved the series and still highly recommend, but I did feel a *little* let down at the end.

Thanks for coming by my blog! I almost chose Mockingjay as the book whose ending I would have changed! I just didn't like how it ended with Gale.

I so agree. Glad I'm not the only one. I've since resigned myself to Mockingjay, but there were always be things I wish were different. Gale's ending being one of them, of course! Sure she may not have ended up with him, but he was important! He needs more than a cursory paragraph.

I picked Mockingjay too. I seems like that one, Breaking Dawn, Forever, and Delirium were the books picked the most, and I can see why :)

Totally agree! For once I hope the movie version changes things up a bit when it comes out and ties up Gales story as well as makes Peeta and Katniss' relationship more believable
