This week's Book Blogger Hop question is...
If I gave you $80 and sent you into a book store right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?
Ooh, I love this question! This is difficult to choose, but I would have to go with Across the Universe by Beth Revis, Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers, Looking for Alaska by John Green (already read it, but I would love a copy), The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, Miles from Ordinary by Carol Lynch Williams (can we pretend it releases today?), and Sweethearts by Sara Zarr.
This week's Follow Friday question is...
Who are you the girl, instead of you the blogger?
I guess I'm a bit of a quirky girl (my friends would be rather skeptical if they heard "a bit", and would probably put me in the quirkiest of the quirky category). I love to laugh and pretty much any joke can send me into giggles. Even though I'm a fairly cheerful person, I write dark fiction and poetry, almost like releasing any negative emotions inside me. I'm an overachiever who goes to a school for overachievers, which, you can imagine, makes me even more neurotic about grades. I do like school and learning, though, and I love all my extracurriculars (debate, nanotechnology research, math team, all that fun nerdy stuff).
If you're new to my blog, welcome! Please leave your blog link in the comments so I can go check yours out as well. I'm happy to follow anyone whose blog piques my interest or has similar reading tastes to me. (I read primarily young adult fiction, generally contemporary although I often branch out in other genres.)

Whoohoo for Across the Universe! I put that on my list as well. I also love school and learning. Although, when I am done this time, I'm just done.
Ooh AtU! I got the book from the library. Can't wait to start it!
That's so cool that The Bell Jar is on your reading list! It's on mine too! I actually just recently did an entire project on Sylvia Plath. Her poetry is just awesome!

Oh yeah I definitely love to laugh too. I can even laugh when it's all serious and I know I shouldn't. But I can't help it.

Hopping by - great book list. I still have to get to Across the Universe myself.
Hopping through. I don't write dark fiction much, but that's more of my personality. I like reading dark stuff - or maybe snarky, black humor is more fitting.
My Hop
The Bell Jar is brilliant. I hope you get to read it soon.
Hi Izzy, I love your blog! I'm your newest follower :) You've got some great picks up there. Looking for Alaska (John Green is a fantastic creature), Across the Universe (wonderful read, gorgeous cover), The Bell Jar (easily one of my favorite books of all-time). Sylvia Plath is amazing. You should try out her journals, too! Here's my post! I'd love it if you would check it out. Looking forward to getting to know you better!
Thanks for stopping by by blog. I loved Across the Universe!
