Do you judge a book by its cover?
To an extent, I do. If someone raves about a book and the cover looks atrocious, I'll still try it, but I have, frequently, read a book only because its cover looked interesting. For example, I picked up both Birthmarked and Face recently because of the awesome covers.

Here from the Hop. A great cover can grab my attention and get me to look at a book, but it won't make me buy it, if what's inside isn't interesting.

The back of the book is what attracts me (the blurb). Though, artistically speaking, I'm amazed by so many of the beautiful covers out there and what even amateurs can do in online cover contests.
